From Short Pants To Scrub Suits

Floyd Alan Fried grew up an only child in a Jewish family of modest means. His youthful experiences in a struggling family produce business convinced him that he needed to obtain further education to pursue alternate career opportunities.

Contemporary views reinforced his high esteem for physicians, thus he developed a strong attraction for the biological sciences. As he continues through college and medical school, he further found that the role in medicine that he most enjoyed was the opportunity to educate others.
By design, he trained in urology at The University of Chicago, an institution that nurtured the teaching and research role for their graduates.

As a small boy, he eagerly listened to the stories of his grandfather. During which time he learned about another time, and the different world of Hungary. His stories about immigrating to the U.S. at the age of 13, with a younger brother, and a few dollars in his pocket. These stories forged a bond between them.

He now desires to create a similar framework for his grandchildren and others to help them learn about his generation. To also provide them with some insights to the values that influenced him, and to see how some are influenced by current events, while others remain constant from one generation to another.

Life Through The Wrong Prescriptive Lenses

All of 16 years of age, first time author and poetess Sarah Francois releases her thought provoking and provocative collection of poems and reflections on life, love and the pursuit of theright pair of prescription glasses!

The author states:

I am an individual. I had an uneventful childhood. My mom and dad had their own plans in mind for my life such as; voice lessons, piano, swimming, and biking.

I had my own plans, my own mind. From the moment I learned to read, nothing readable could escape me. If it caught my eye, it was read. I started to write in Junior High. I just sat down at the lunchroom table and began to write about being alone. I met a muse that day and she keeps coming back.

I now attend Bishop Kearney High School where I enjoy sharing my thoughts and optinions. I am different. I am sensitive, hardworking and observant; anyone that has encountered me either through physical contact or the written word knows it. This is my journey and I wouldn't subtract a day from it. Read my observations.

The Twin Towers - Terror and Love Stories

A novel written by retired Israeli intelligence officer, Yommi Eini, integrating both reality and fiction. It is about human love brutally brought to a close; its contents heartrending and in some parts reminiscentof a Greek tragedy. The story follows the journey of three couples in love who meet a surprising and tragic end as their planes collide into the Twin Towers in New York and the Pentagon in Washington. The lovers have no control overthe events that shatter their lives and thwart their plans for the future, which had seemed so attainable.

The author's rich experience in the Israeli Intelligence community helps him in analyzing the war against the Taliban and the blitzkrieg in Iraq. Factual intelligence evidence within the contents of "The Twin Towers"renders this novel both compelling and heartfelt. The book raises several pertinent questions:How could such a terrorist attack take place without the knowledge of the most advanced intelligence communities in the world such as the U.S., Great Britain,Germany and Israel? How is it possible that Bin Laden continues to threaten the free world? How is it possible that Iraq was so easily conquered with so few casualties?Where was Saddam Hussein and his illustrious army? These are just a sampling of the compelling ideas the author explores in this fascinating story of intrigue, love, lives lived and lives lost. This book is dedicated to those who died in the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and their families.
